The Gatlinburg Ober Ski Resort And Amusement Park

One of the premier attractions in the city of Gatlinburg, Tennessee is the Gatlinburg Ober Ski Resort and Amusement Park. It is visited by many tourists to the area and has a lot to offer the whole family. During the winter season there are a variety of fun activities you can participate in. They include skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, snow tubing and more. There are lessons for those who want to learn new skills or brush up on what they already know. The scenic chairlift takes you to the top of the slopes while giving you a breathtaking view of your surroundings.

During the other seasons there is still plenty to do at Gatlinburg Ober. They have a new aerial tramway that takes you from downtown to the resort. This is the most exciting and scenic way to get to the park for sure. Also at the park is a traditional arcade, with games like ball toss, skill crane and video game favorites. This arcade offers tickets that can be redeemed for prizes. One of the most unique attractions at the park is the Bungee Run.

In this case, you're not falling from the sky attached to a bungee cord. Two people are placed side by side in well padded lanes and the idea is to run and try to be the last person snapped back by the bungee cord. The further you run, the longer your distance will be when the bungee does snap you back to the starting point. Then there's the Alpine Slide, which has two tracks. You are able to control your sled and even put on the brakes, and no special gear is required for this activity. In the summer months there are amazing waterslides for the adventurous.

Another attraction at the Gatlinburg Ober Ski Resort and Amusement Park is the Wildlife Encounter. Here you will see creatures like the brown bear, river otter, snake, squirrel, skunk and more. The park is expecting new animals such as the bobcat and fox. For the youngest visitors there is Kiddie Land, a playground area with ladders, chutes and slides. You might also want to try your hand at Zeke's shooting range, where the purpose is to hit the bullseye. As you can see, there is something for every member of your family at this resort and park, no matter what season you choose to visit.
